We are always encouraged when God moves powerfully in the lives of our church family, and this recent testimony from one of our beloved members, Joe Washington, reminds us that faith and perseverance are never in vain.
After battling persistent knee pain and facing uncertainty about his ability to continue running, a routine he has maintained for over three consecutive years, our member reached out for prayer before embarking on a significant journey to Washington, D.C.
With heartfelt gratitude, he wrote:
“Let me start by thanking you for praying fervently for my knee pain and DC trip. My presentation before Congress went beyond expectations. I’ve gained support from both the House & Senate.”
Despite the pain he was experiencing just days before the trip, Joe pressed on in faith. What began as a cautious, ginger run in D.C. transformed into a near-complete return to form by the time they reached Virginia.

“The pain that I was experiencing last Sunday had me thinking that my more than 3 years running consecutively had sadly come to an end, but GOD…”
Indeed, but God. The healing and strength that followed were nothing short of divine. Not only did Joe's body begin to restore, but his voice carried a message of impact all the way to Capitol Hill.
Joe closed his message with a sincere word of appreciation:
“Thanks again for being the incredibly awesome leader and minister that I’ve ALWAYS known you to be. GODSPEED!!”

We celebrate this moment of answered prayer, physical restoration, and spiritual momentum. As a church, we are reminded that when we move in purpose and prayer, God meets us on the path, sometimes healing as we go.
Let this be a testimony for us all: No matter what tries to slow us down, God is faithful to carry us through.
GODSPEED. 🦾💯
